In the late 70’s, four scientists in separate laboratories conducted research with a similar mission. They investigated natural plants, not commonly used for food, to discover nutrients that would result in better health and longevity.

In California, Dr. Christopher Hills discovered one of nature’s most nutritious foods, spirulina. In Canada, Dr. Albert Zehr combined herbs with natural sourced vitamins and minerals to create a line of high quality supplements. In Texas, Dr. J. Lee Phelps researched natural ingredients and manufactured nutritional products. Also in Texas, Clinton Howard formed a research team that discovered the active constituents in the aloe vera plant for professional uses.

In 1991, he founded RBC Life Sciences® to make effective aloe products for the public and expanded with other supplements by bringing into the Company the knowledge and expertise of Drs. Hills, Zehr, and Phelps.
